The miracle equation is simple then for City to retain their Premier League status for another year: Win against Palarse on Saturday evening and then pray to the Footballing Gods (and Russell Slade) that they can somehow conjure the 3 points needed to overtake Brighton on the final day of the season. Unlikely but I'm sure that we'll give it a good go... and given all things to be going into the final day of the season not yet mathematically relegated would be quite an achievement <ok>

With two games left to play & 10 points up for grabs there's still plenty to play for in the ESPL -

Div I
  • If @danablu can maintain his 8 point advantage over @Barry Tiger he will be crowned Champion on Sunday - a remarkable achievement considering his recent promotion and his long listed struggles to escape the second tier! A worthy winner he would be!
  • The relegation scrap looked dusted even with the vote in favor of the additional spot. That was until defending champion @william5551 returned with a big 3 points, and is now only 3 points behind @bluescull (despite the heavy penalties for not predicting). William is hoping to avoid becoming the 3rd defending champion in succession to be relegated after winning the Championship.... <yikes>
  • Despite a hard fought Playoff win last May, @FrankfurterBlue is facing a straight return to 2nd tier and this will be confirmed if he fails to narrow the gap to Bluescull
Div II
  • In spite of his high scoring tally, @Masky is not yet assured of his long awaited return to the promised land. Things would have looked better if @mustyfrog had not earned yet another persistent CR last weekend, that meant that only 2 points separate the top 3.... and only 2 will go up! Nail biting stuff. A return to form for @irishbluebird has meant that he has kept pace with the trailblazing Masky and a straight return to Div I is withing touching distance.....
  • The Playoffs are mostly wrapped up but as ever @Oldsparkey remains within touching distance of @taffthefish but probably needs a CS if he's going to have a chance of wrsestling that last spot off Taff!
C'mon City! <ok>

1-0 City, Morrison please! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Well I've looked into my crystal balls, and have decided upon the following:

Cardiff City 3 Crystal Palace 1

Camarasa to score.

A lot of negativity on here.

Shall I look to protect my division 1 status or go for a good result?

Will consider my position in the morning.

Still in with a shout of staying up and stranger things happened, although I can't think what they are at moment......

Bluebirds 1 Palace 0 . Camarasa.

Splitting of the atom perhaps, or stranger still when one became two (BT and BFB)? :emoticon-0103-cool:
