1. People from Hull are Hullensians. 'Hullite' has a derogatory feel to it IMO 2. Agree with the Burnsey sentiments, but we all think we could do a better job, it's natural..
Largely what he has reported is correct. There's a culture amongst Hull City fans where they are not happy unless they have something or someone to criticise. Do you think the BBC would have been happy if he sat there twiddling his fingers reporting nothing? No. The media is full of incorrect inaccurate sports journalism, it doesn't mean he warrants the pathetic personal attack on a message board by the good old 'friendly' folk of Hull does it? Have a break
I'm not from Hull, so I'm not particularly concerned on the correct term. It's the pathetic attacks on McLean, Burnsy and anyone else that pops up, it's a symptom of Hull unfortunately. People not happy unless they are whinging and moaning about something. I travel extensively, and there is nowhere I have been or lived that has such a **** attitude.
Welcome to 'Flat City' and the Flat City Blues..... (I don't live there anymore, but I'll always have a soft spot for the city that was the most bombed city, outside of London, in WW2, And then totally ignored by 'the powers that be')
The rest of the BBC are quite happy to not report on us even when things are happening, so why they would have a problem with him not making things up to get people talking about him as though he's important and detracting from the reputation of the BBC in the process I don't know. Of course the local BBC bosses could be connected in some way to the people in charge of the HDM who regularly make up stories that are frankly libelous when it concerns the club and it's fans, particularly when it comes to our reported misbehviour and then lack of apology despite the police and the 'victims' denying things have happened.
I'm sorry but that isn't "Hull", that's the internet. It's full of it. Check any forum you like. Also, if you think "People not happy unless they are whinging and moaning about something" is a Hull thing, you haven't seen Eastenders or Coronation Street my friend!
burnseys proved a certain person wrong on lots of occasions.he dosn't have an insider from the mirror.hows google?
Sorry to break it to you, but Coronation Street and Eastenders aren't real. This may be the Internet, but I'd say it's also a fair reflection on Hull. There is a real 'chip on the shoulder' attitude, across the city and a general malaise, not to mention the 'can't be arsed attitudes' look at most of the Hull Schools? Frankly shocking, not necessarily because the schools are bad, more down to the pupils that can't be arsed. This isn't the Internet, it's reality.
