When I wake up tomorrow I expect to see that we have signed Maynard and Bristol have writen us a cheque for £4M + another player to sweeten the deal.

Sorry lads but what started off as "Let's enjoy the ride" is starting to turn into "We are the best other clubs are smaller than us, we'll have your best players".

Rein it in a bit otherwise you'll start becoming very Man City like. I'd hate to see Leicester fans being labelled as arrogant ankersway.

 

Horsham - all fans are arrogant about their team - it stems from passion. The thing that pisses other teams fans off is that we have money and we want the best signings. You would be the same. This is a Leicester forum board, and of course we are excited by the prospects of this season. Most Leicester fans have not been in this position before, where we have money to burn, so we are hopeful of the best.
Think most of us sit around with our jaws hitting the ground, cos it is unbelievable what is going on at our club - investment in the stadium, complete overhaul of our training facilities, new board (who are acting professionally and have a real history of success), Birch (fans favourite) being made life time ambassador for the club, and of course a whole host of new signings of quality players.
If we are arrogant, it is because we are amazed and excited about our prospects.
Do I think we will walk the league - in my dreams yes, in my brain, not a chance cos this is the hardest league to get out of. However, the board and manager are giving us the best chance that we have.
We do need a couple of final pieces of the jigsaw. We will speculate about who those will be, and from what has happened recently some of that speculation will be ridiculous eg Defoe, but with Sven and his contacts, and Top (chairman) and his money and backing nothing seems impossible to us.

 

I have had enough of the rumours with Maynard, we should make our bid now

Proud Fox, Sven has listened! Radio Leicester just reported (according to my mate) that we are tabling our fourth and final bid today for Maynard. I think he'll come. Agents will have spoken to agents and the pincer movement of our interest and Maynard himself approaching the Brizzle powers will be enough for them to agree. Credit to Brizzle, I think they have protected their interests perfectly so far.
