mr.bristol..true to form...., weather its on your board or this board or any board..whats the point in making personal insults? we know you and the rest of the bristol supporters have an inferiority complex...we understand that....we make allowances for the envy of fans of smaller clubs like yourselves...its a given....calling names and getting angry gets you nowhere...you just come across as a nothing to add loser...leicester fans appriciate the terrible stress you and the few other fans that follow your club must be under trying to hang on to the only saleable asset you have, the pressure is obviously getting to you as your manager tries to dodge the sven juggernaught ....i have sympathy for your sad plight...i truly do...but please be nice...your acting like a petulant child,it isn't very good is it?

    Funny boy!

Were you this funny and cocksure when you were in the division below us?

I simply call it as i see it. You think your big fish coz you have bick backers.

I hate all this big club, little club talk, we deserve it coz we have been there before etc....

Bristol is actually bigger than Leicester, therefore officially we are bigger than you. In fact, we are the 10th Biggest City in the UK compared to little old Leicester, sitting at 15th... So sorry, how are you bigger?

In fact, Coventry and Nottingham are bigger than Leicester........ How does that make you feel? Being one of the smallest cities in the Midlands?

You are not bigger than anyone, unless your a fat bas***d and add to the obesity problem we currently have in the UK?

If we get to the prem, we will get there on merit, and by having players that actually want to play for Bristol City, and fans that are "Generally" born and bred in Bristol or the surrounding area.

Leicester will have a big following, all be it from different fans, most of them being corporate k**bs that really do not appreciate the game!

Im not bitter, i just hate seeing decent football clubs being bought and sold like its a game!

I went to Leicester City when they were at Filbert Street, and to me that was a lovely stadium, built on Houses and had a real family feel, and no i am not being sarcastic! I am guessing the family feel has been lost now, and its only seen as a business.

I for one would stop supporting Bristol City if it was sold to some Foreign Consortium and run by people that did not care about the area. But they are my views, and probably not every Bristol City fan would agree.

I agree I hate this "we are bigger than you" ****. However, you are talking about your town rather than club you muppet. You are also living in cloud cuckoo land if you think that your players have more loyalty to your club than any other teams. "Leicester will have a big following mostly made up of corporate knobs" complete twatish staement.

I too loved Filbert street - far more than the empty vaccuos KP stadium, however, the KP is far more family friendly than the Walkers ever was.

You would stop supporting your club if it was owned by foreigners............you aren't really that much of a fan then are you. <doh>

Funny that. Our chairman is actually a Leicester fan. He watched us in the play offs a few years ago and has supported us ever since. You are right - Filbert Street was a fantastic ground and a brilliant atmosphere. A lot of the new stadiums being built these days do not have that same feel. HOWEVER - when you have supported a team for 50+ years and watched them through the rollercoaster I have, I dont need some muppet coming on here and saying that they would no longer support their team if they were bought out by a foreign consortium.
Our chairman is making substantial investment into our club - it was just a few years ago we were in administration and on the verge of closure.
These are exciting times for our football club, cant really remember when we have brought so many quality players in at one time. There will be more to come - one of whom may or not be Maynard - we shall see.
In the meantime, dont decry our chairman for being a fox or having the dosh, and being prepared to put his money where his mouth is.

Hes not a Fan, get a grip!!

He bought your club coz of the potential to make money and it would have been a cheap investment due to the financial problems you would have been in!

It was a consortium led by Gary Lineker that got you out of administration.

    Mr Bristol

Bristol IS a bigger city than leicester in terms of population - Nottingham and Coventry are not - further there is only one team in the football league in Leicestershire - unlike Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire (and inddeed Derbyshire)

Gary Lineker was the figurehead of the consortium that led us out of administration - whether he personally put any cash up is a matter of debate - that Emile Heskey put in a six figure sum is not - God Bless Saint Bruno of Ivanhoe.

I've no axe to grind with Bristol City (am old enough to remember us gigning Chris garland from you - and he was quite decent) - if we take Maynard it is, for BC fans, just a rather sad reflection of the loyalty, or lack of it, in the modern game - life is full of swings and roundabouts - perhaps signing Maynard, if he really is that good, is just karma for the sell-on monies you probably got from our purchase of Ade Akinbiyi ... there must have been some chuckles into cider that day.

You don't buy a football club to make money; it's a rich mans folly and they have money to lose. You seem to think you know a lot about our club are you Leicester-curious? I bet you toss off to www.lcfc.com? :emoticon-0148-yes:

So your City is bigger than ours yet you have on average 10,000 less fans every week? So yeh, you're definitely a smaller club. <ok> Same for Forest and especially Coventry, who both get worse gates than us.

If you'd stop supporting your team because they had rich owners then you are not only stupid and tinpot, you're also not a real fan.

And I have no interest in fake fans.

Last time i checked a size of a football club wasnt judged on how big the citys is. Its judge on history, fan base, stadium, etc

Aston Villa is a tiny part of Birmingham so they must be a small club. Bristol City are only just bigger then Rovers

Mr Bristol, yes Bristol is ****e at sport - even your Rugby team is a joke. We have the Leicester Tigers to compete with and apparently I've heard that another reason our Thai backers were attracted to the club is that they want to amalgamate the Tigers, City and Basketball club all under one sporting umbrella too - I think the County Cricket are included in that too??? I'm afraid they ARE here for the long-run - stadium naming rights, investment in the academy, paying for the Real Madrid match etc... also setting up academies abroad. Our owners are minted and they are more Abramovich than Glazer - He he I'm loving how they are all so jealous of us !!!
