I’m impressed he seems to be directing traffic. We’ve been a team without an effective on-field leader for a long time. It’s a pleasant surprise that a new, young player playing a new position would put himself forward successfully. He seems to be very focused, even in the tunnel before the game. He’s not a dirty player, but certainly has an edge to him. Attackers can’t like seeing him on the other side of the pitch. Makes you wonder why Porto let him go for relatively little. I was hoping if we didn’t get a DM he would work out well, but I didn’t think it would be this well. His grandfather won an FA cup. I hope he passed on the FA cup winning gene to his grandson.
