Torres leaving was different. Much like Arsenal with Adebayor, he left on bad terms and continues to get stick to this day. Similar to Paul Ince leaving West Ham to join you guys. You'd have been the same with Heinze had Fergie allowed him to join us.
His team were top of the league, his record of achievement in the English game was brilliant, he had time to plan his response, he had the press in his back pocket and he got payback in the interview when he ridiculed Benitez to a chorus of laughter and obviously winning the league title.
And that's why he had them in his pocket, if they didn't ask preplanned questions or they mentioned anything about his players behaviour on or off the pitch they got banned.
All hacks love reporting on Utd and those that in Fergies mind abused that "honour" got banned. Don't personally agree with that policy but those that got banned knew Fergies media laws.
No matth, there are Utd friendly hacks(and LFC friendly hacks)but those that had a pop at tactics, substitutions, players etc got the boot from Utd press conferences, he couldn't stop bbc tv from being at games but he never spoke to them for years and he managed to ban Alan Green from Radio 5 for slagging Utd off, not sure if he's allowed back at OT even now.
