What about the Coventry lot. They usually get a mention.clear lack of ambition...!!....sack the board, sack Les, sack Kat and get the Lander group on board by 1pm so we can sack them too...!!

And what would you expect?Les Reed is the football man on the board...I would expect him to make most decisions on that side of the business. Football directors are the way it is run these days. I doubt he has more power than I'd expect....as I'd expect him to have a lot. Is he the best man for the job...I have no idea since I have no one to compare him with.
Why can't you reply to messages?I suspect Les Reed is like Cortese-lite.....as he will have control over everything football, whereas Cortese tried to micro-manage everything. There are no other football people on the board, so I can't see anyone questioning him....apart from if his decisions threatened the viability of the business. He's obviously trusted by the owner and has been deeply involved with our renaissance. We'll only really be able to judge him when he's gone.
I meant the reply button Fran haI thought I had answered it, so didn't want to repeat myself. You said he had too much power and I said that I expected him to have such power. As I don't know the remit of other Football Directors, I don't know if he has too much. As for people leaving, I can't judge as people leave for reasonable and unreasonable reasons. Sadly I have known managers in other industries who constantly lost staff and we all wondered why those higher up didn't do something...the answer always comes down to the relative value those in power put on the person who may be a problem and the people who walked. I suspect we will find out soon enough if we are sold as Les Reed's position will become less secure.
