I strongly believe that since this failed manager has been involved with the coaching methods at the club we have been in decline or atleast stagnated on the pitch.

We even look like the atrocious Villa side under his tenure.
He maybe popular with the players....I'd rather he was unpopular and working them hard and improving them.
Along as he has a say in anything Southampton I fear the style of play, tactics etc will never change completely.

Lose a match
Spin the Wheel
Which face will it land on
The blame game

If he is as bad as you believe then Pellegrino should sack him.
If he has such a huge influence on tactics and overall player development, then we have a weak manager

I think he should be manager, then he can impose all his ideas.i can't believe Les didn't consider him for the job.

Oh and what the **** are we playing at not putting in a bid for Neymar.

clear lack of ambition...!!....sack the board, sack Les, sack Kat and get the Lander group on board by 1pm so we can sack them too...!!

Oh ****ing dear. Here we go again. It hurts your pride to lose but last nights game did not have winning as its priority.

Having said that we still have many of our faults from last year and it may take some time for that to be drilled out of the players.

What I did notice last night - and it reminded me of so many preseason games over the years - is that players were reluctant to put a decent tackle in. They just don't want to get hurt before the season starts. As a result I always fear the first game of the season but am pleased to say they always get back into the competitive frame very quickly. That said, no excuse for the poor defending last night. One or two goals could so easily have been avoided.
