Nothing for Black to worry about...unless there is more and if there was they would have released it at the time.
Throw enough dirt though some is bound to stick...............It does sound as if he was just being a silly beggar.
Yes, but you can bet they'd have published the best bits. The only reason that they might not have published something is if it reflected badly on them as well.
Given the way the press like to act as judge, jury and executioner, it's a safe bet Eric would have been hung drawn and quartered at Tyburn if they had any more on him.
Seems like something and nothing. The only thing that hangs in the back of mind though is if it's a load of rubbish, why aren't any of them suing the Telegraph for defamation of character or libel?
A bit difficult when you haven't got any evidence either way. The only ones that will make anything out of it all are the Solicitors and the DT will probably sell a few more papers. Meanwhile no doubt some innocents will be harmed, but that won't bother the hounds.
No doubt the gutter Press will resurrect this story just before another of our most important games against one of the "big" teams!
And a fair few on here were calling for him to be sacked immediately! Glad he has stayed as he didn't actually do anything wrong. Plus it is minimal disruption to the club.
A lot of fans on SW didn't seem to want Eric Black at Saints, so I guess they saw their chance to call from his dismissal. Never got to the bottom of why they didn't like him....seemed to be devil incarnate to some of them. Probably the same people who didn't want Puel.
His actions were pretty poor, lets try not to paper over that because of the fan over reactions. ~He should consider himself very fortunate.
Fran that is easy. Football fan mentality. Some of this mentality was on this forum too. Aston Villa were **** Eric Black worked at Aston Villa Eric Black is **** It's not too dissimilar on match threads: Saints playing against **** team Saints lose match Saints are ****
There is the measured view. I agree. Seems the club have handled this responsibly and I bet Uncle Les has given him a good bollocking and told him to be careful. Yes, Eric has been fortunate to have a sensible employer on this. Probably also suggests he is doing a good job, because if he wasn't this would have been an easy route to get him out.
