What did the Admiral say that led you to form suspicions of his character and beliefs? bonbon - I derided your argument regarding POTY on only two points. 1) You seemed to think comparing numbers/proportions of a team's goals created was a suitable comparison of the abilities of a leftback and an attacking midfielder. You haven't given any indication as to why you think that is appropriate. 2) you have repeatedly failed to acknowledge that maybe, just maybe, Izaguirre won an 'honest' vote, not because of the team he happens to play for. I don't see any need for me to admit to the possibility of it being a pro-OF conspiracy for which there is absolutely zero evidence. I'll point you yet again in the direction of the YPOTY award, as chosen by the same group of people. It might be galling for you that OF players are routinely voted as player of the year. But is it genuinely surprising that in a league where no team outwith the OF has won the league in 20 odd years, that OF players have been regarded as the best by their peers within the same period? That doesn't strike me as bias, or evidence of 'other factors', but a fairly predictable outcome - the best teams have the best performers. As for the rest of your post, as Dev says it's a cop out.
