I think its fair to say the club has bid for many quality strikers during the window, which would have been solved if any one of them besides the sochaux lad had been interested in wearing the black and white. It's a damn shame if we don't bring one in last minute, but I do think the club has tried

 

we have matched bids for gameiro and gervinho and had one accept for erdnic. just a shame they didnt want to come.

we already have best, ameobi, s.ameobi, lovenkrands, ranger, vukic, airey, demba ba. our front 2 is probably going to be best and ba. even if we did sign magia or roux i doubt they would cement a place this year. ruiz would be great, i hope we dont blame the club because we our down to our 5th or 6th target after missing out on all the top targets, we shouldnt just throw the cash at any old striker like martins land luque, im glad we had a list of well scouted targets, even if we did miss out on all of them! it just shows we are being sensible in the transfer window. we havnt been linked with a striker capable of cementing a first team place for months
