Guess what, United play 3 times back to back away games, two of which are before our first back to back home games. I agree, it`s just not fair
It's a fact so it's not my problem if you don't like it, it isn't fair to have to play 3 times back-back away games, and only once back-back home games. There is zero statistical reason also for us to be made to play 3 times back-back away games, the FA just draw this up from their asses and decide to make it like that.
Our run in to the end of the season looks good, but at the same time, let's be honest, our title challenge usually collapses during the second half of the season coming from February, and look at our fixtures around January-March, we play Liverpool-Stoke away, Chelsea home, United away, Spurs away, and Everton away, and also at home we face Southampton who aren't easy, and Swansea who have done great against us at home in the league, I think in the last 3 VS them at home we've lost 2 and drawn 1 in the league. So these fixtures have all the hallmarks of causing our typical annual title season meltdown collapse.
Not really. It's a very complex method to satisfy demands from the police, clubs etc. There almost certainly is a "statistical reason" such as too many games being held in London or any other place on a given day, non-football events meaning a certain stadium can't hold a game at some point etc. I guess the rugby world cup will have an impact. Does it really make a difference having some away games back to back? Are you at home more often than not after Champions League games or would you like to moan about that too? Would you rather Chelsea, United's or City's fixtures?
Nope, there's no statistic reason for it....And yes, it does make a difference, having to play at Stoke and Anfield away back-back is a big difference, not to mention when one of them is a mid-week game as well. At the end of the day, it's not fair, you can spin it however you like, but playing 3 times over the course of the season back-back away games VS 1 time back-back home games is not fair, simples as that. It's dumb, stupid, and again, no reason for it.
Except there are reasons for it, as stated. Overall it's a very favourable order of fixtures. If you had Chelsea's fixtures or City's you'd be moaning about having to play a title rival (snigger) so early. You clearly just love a moan. The team fly first class or on the most luxury coach you've ever seen before staying in a five star hotel. It's not like there's an arduous slog on a National Express up north.
I think it's utterly unfair that we have to play 19 of our games away from home. We spent millions on the Emirates and half the time we don't even play there. Complete waste of time and money and utterly unfair on other teams who play more games at home. Burnley get 23 home league games next year for example... what the heck's going on? #totesunfair
