Depends who on twitter. If the Newcastle United twitter said it I'd be inclined to agree, but if Cwarr said it I'd have to assume it was bullshit. Who's the source?

We'll wait and see. £7m is a bit low but I really hope it's not Liverpool, they're not in Europe either so it would completely make Enrique out to be a liar.

Dont mind him leaving if it's for footballing reasons but Liverpool would just be for the money. If it's just because they could be in Europe next season then stay for a year and then you can leave for a team in Europe.

Even though it's been on the cards, and Twitter isn't exactly the most reliable source, I'm feeling very sad right now.

Liverpool fan in peace.

Is it just coming from Twitter? Any other more reliable sources?

Not really. I wouldn't read too much into it mate. I'll be furious with Jose if it is true, he said he want to leave for Champions League football and to win things, he's not going to do that with Liverpool, at least not next season.

Ah right, fair enough. I knew that we were heavily linked with him but I was expecting it to go to the final days of the transfer window.

Do you lot think £7M is a decent fee for a player with one year left on his contract? Or would you want a bit more?

Given the alternative would be £0, then 7-8 million is about fair. If he had a long deal I wouldnt even begin talks for less than 15 though.

I'd rather he stayed for one more season considering that any money made from him probably wont be invested anyway.

If he wasnt going into the last year of his contract we'd easily be able to demand £15m - £18m for him, considering the price of other transfers going around nowadays.

Will be Spains no.1 left back once he joins a club playing European football no doubt.
