Sess isnt going to make an impression with us as he cannot be accommodated in our system successfully imo. He is a fantastic footballer and would be champions league standard for an Arsenal, Man Utd or more likely PSG team imo but he looks lost in our team set up.

I think we would be better off taking the money for him this summer and investing in players that will fit our system under O'Neill and taking the problem and weekly discussion away. He is the crux of our problem not the answer to our problem and I've been saying this for weeks now.

He cant play as a 2nd striker, is too lightweight to fill a 4 man midfield and doesn't want to play as a winger. Save for using him as an impact sub, I don't see how we can keep playing him tbh, without holding us back.

There are some good ideas there mate but there is no chance. The club cannot attract players easily at all. Especially players who have not already been in the premier league. We need to cast the net out wider than blokes with an attachment to the north east (Johnson and Graham) and start looking further a field. Is Steve Staunton still a scout?

Staunton is an opposition analyzer not a coach or a scout.

Staunton - I loved him as a player but not sure about off the field after his spell at Darlo. What's Staunton do..sit in a room with old DVDs? I wondered if Steve Guppy is still at the club? I think double crossing training is needed for Johnson, Larsson and McClean!

He goes to games of our next opponents and gives a report for MoN.

Then Marty analyzes the report for strengths, weaknesses, set pieces, possible areas they can be pressurised and then after all that puts out the same team as the week before. Lol

I still maintain that he's better on either wing. Him and AJ on the wings switching over should cause most full backs problems.

He's best when he's got the ball at his feet and is able to run at defenders. (think it was West Ham he did this a fair few times and got in behind)

I'd rather stick Fletcher and DG up top.

We know that it probably won't happen though don't we.
