It is with a heavy heart that i have decided i won't be attending any home games this season.After being a loyal supporter for 40 years,i feel that going to home games this season would be hypocritical of me.
The current regime has turned into one giant pisstake of all true rangers fans.No money for new players,no improved contracts for our best players,no new shirt,not even a parade for winning the Championship.Add to this the hike in ticket prices and the total disregard for long suffering supporters and i feel it is my duty to take a stance in some small way.
It will break my heart not to be at Loftus Road this season but i refuse to give those tossers any more of my money.I will go to as many away games as i can and will cheer on whatever team Neil is able to field.
Always a hoopton,come on you rrrrr's.
 
I totally agree with you. For 35yrs i have followed this club with a passion, i feel totally shafted by the goons..!
And i for one will not be parting with anymore cash until the goons are gone.

I'm sorry it's come to this for some fans and have every sympathy. The Bothroyd signing gave me a glimmer of hope that the Goons may do the right thing by club, manager and team before the current transfer window closes - but I won't be holding my breath.
 
While I respect your decision was it any better when we were paying £25 in league 1 or when we were struggling in the Championship with rubbish players, managers and the like over the years?

With my Silver season ticket at £650 it works out at £34 a game over 19 games.

Now although I dont agree with a lot of the things the boards are doing I think PR is the main issue and I am happy to pay the extra money to watch my beloved hoops in the Premiership.

I wish that I had the balls to stay away, but I cannot QPR and Loftus road are very much a part of my Saturday

I am lucky in one respect that because I am over 65 my season ticket works out at £26 a game.

Good to see those principles being held up Hammersmith Hoopton.
I too made the same decision when the announced the price rises. I will purchase my Membership as usual, but will be looking to go to away games and not Loftus Rd this season.
It's my stand. I know not everyone agrees, but it's my decision to stand up to this disgraceful way the club is treating such long serving and loyal fans.
Glad to see someone else doing the same!!

Although I empathise with your choice, I urge you to reconsider your decision.
I have also followed & supported QPR through thick & thin since I was 2 years old in 1968. Ever since then, my life as a QPR Fan has been a mixture of limited joy & much displeasure.
I remember crying in my bed, as a 10 year old, disbelieving that there was a god, that horrendous night in 1976 when Liverpool snatched away our title after beating Wolves 3-1.
But then, I didn't know any different. I was born a QPR fan, and in years to come, it would in my teenage years become apparent...I was different.

Although QPR weren't a big club, ( I always thought we were.) We had gained promotion to the 1st division, had won the League Cup, had beaten Liverpool with the ' Goal of the season.' ( and reached a semi-final of the league cup v Villa in '77) Our fortunes quickly turned around and we went down, in 1979.
Then under Terry Venables in 1983 we came back up, also having reached the FA Cup final the previous year. We then retained our 1st div/Prem status until we went back down in '95.
Since then, our lives as QPR supporters resemble that of a schizophreniac, loving & hating within an instant. ( Just as it is now!)

This is what sets us as a breed apart. We love QPR, we are QPR, and whom ever is in charge, we will still be here when they are long gone, or just an after thought.

The bottom line is this... I'll be damned if I give up my seat after all these years of emotional turmoil to some Johnny-Come-Lately to jump on the bandwagon, should we become succesful.
As unlikely as this maybe, I have endured the worse, but now were in the Prem. It's where every fan in the country, who holds dreams for their little club, wants to be. I shall enjoy it, whatever it may bring.
I enjoy walking down the Uxbridge Road and giving a little nod, to familiar faces who , even though i've never spoken to, ( Possibly someone reading this.) know that they're a Rangers fan , who week in week out, have the same hopes and expectations as I dream about. Basically, i'm the same kid as I spoke about earlier, but 35 years on. And should Sir Neil beat all expectations again as he did last season...( can anyone remember our expectations this time last year? ) then I want to be there and be part of it.
To not do so, regardless of who runs the club, shall render myself souless for the rest of my days. For I am born QPR, it runs through my veins.
