A touch contradictory Beluga. How could this team be good enough to have easily hung on when it didn't? It clearly wasn't good enough to have hung on. I also considered it a mistake to buy Ba as it was for Liverpool to buy Sturridge.
Nothing really contradictory here. We have Cech in goal, Azipilicueta, Ivanovic, Cahill, Cole in defence, shielded by Lampard and Ramires. All full internationals, with multiple domestic trophies between them - should have been able to deal with anything a relegation-threatened team might have thrown at them. The fact they didn't speaks more to the fact that they just weren't at the races (lacking character), as opposed to not being good enough.
I wonder whats going through the mind of RA now! Does he look back and think to himself "If I could turn the clock back , what would I have done differently!" ?
The good news...he's only an interim so wont cost anything to get rid of in May!! Bad news, are there any managers left? I suspect the board have pretty much written this season off and as long as we are still in the top 4, Rafa will be kept for now.
When are you going to start blaming the players and not only the manager? This crop have seen 3 managers sacked already, the majority of the blame lies with them.
that crop have also won every trophy there is and set more records doing it , than I can count! WHAT THE FLYING **** IS JT DOING ON THE F***ING BENCH, IS HE FIT OR NOT!! HOW THE FLYING **** IS SITTING ON THE BENCH FOR 90 MINTUES HELPING HIM REGAIN FITNESS!!
I have to say, I think it's a combo of both. We were playing ****e under RDM and AVB before him. The mini miracle of our cup double last year papered over the fact we've been pretty inconsistent since we won the double in 2010; especially given the money spent since then.
