Tranmere striker Enoch Showunmi has announced he has fully recovered from the leg facture he suffered at the end of last season.

The 29-year-old broke his fibula during Rovers' 4-0 win over Exeter in April.

He was sidelined for the club's final two games of the season but says he is now back to full fitness and is raring to go for the new season.

The 6ft 5in former Luton striker expects to be able to join in pre-season training with the rest of the Tranmere squad this summer.

He told Rovers' official website: "My leg is fine now. I'll be able to do pre-season training with the rest of the players.

"I hope it's not that sunny though, as it will be hot to run in."

Manager Les Parry backed Showunmi to be back in time for pre-season after finding out the extent of the injury, saying he expected him to be sidelined for six to eight weeks.
