Just been looking at the schedule for next year:
NZ away then NZ home then Aus home then Aus away. Why not mix it up a bit? The excitement and memories of an Ashes series will have just two months to linger before it all starts again. There should be a 1.5/2.5 year gap between Ashes series, can't see why this needed to change. Reminds me of the time we were away to WI then had WI at home then who did we play as a warm-up match for the World Cup? That's right - WI. Couldn't make it up.

- Feb-March 2013: New Zealand Test and one-day series (away)
- May-June 2013: NZ Test and ODI series (home)
- June 2013: Champions Trophy (50 overs, home)
- July-August 2013: Ashes series (home)
- September 2013: Australia ODI series (home)
- Nov 2013-Feb 2014: Ashes tour (away)
