I was holidaying in Scotland some years ago and stayed overnight in Moffat , a quiet place early on a Sunday morning. Hardly anyone about when there was a coming together of two cars. A relatively gentle collision , but it was heard. In no time at all the scene was crowded with Japanese tourists all clicking away on their cameras. There were so many of them it really was funny , and so archetypical of the Japanese tourist joke , it was like a scene from " Airplane ".
