A lot of the Russian attacks on the English have been described as well organised. When it kicked off in the square, 300 Russians had descended down from a side street to get at the English, who in a bar owners own words were not to blame. The problem is the Police start pumping tear gas in and turn it into a scene of chaos, I'm led to believe from last night the police were just not there to protect our fans, so when fighting ensues what else are they supposed to do, you only have to look at last night in the ground, where was the police helping the women and children?

Look at this. Looks like a guy who is doing nothing, carrying his shopping bag (maybe a local) who gets punched to the floor!

Not a single police officer in sight. Poor stewards trying their best in those conditions.

Agree. I make it clear I do not blame the stewards, there is nothing they can do against Russian Ultras hell bent on trouble, the only defence is the Police but all those idiots do is pump in tear gas and make the situation worse instead of controlling it.

Go to 5 mins into that Collymore clip. Channel 4 news talking to Collymore (not for the news) and the channel 4 reporter told Collymore that Toulouse, Nice and PSG fans are now involved with the fighting along with organised gangs from Russia who flew from Russia to Switzerland and hired cars to France so they can go undetected.

My son studied Russian at uni and had to spend a year in Russia, when he told one of the teachers that he was going to see the local league team play that evening he was told NO YOU'RE NOT and was told to look out of the window at the local supporters going to the match, he then changed his mind as some were carrying iron bars, some pick axe handles and every supporter in the group was carrying a weapon of some description. When he querried why the police didn't do anything about it they said because they like living

Looks like us and Russia are on the verge of being disqualified from the tournament if there is anymore trouble. As per a UEFA statement a short while ago.

Apparently from what I've been told is, they searched the men going into the ground but not the women! Don't they know that women can also be a threat in terrorism?
Hence this could possibly be the reason why they got that flare gun into the stadium.

Read in the paper this morning that one of the Russian football officials / MP said there was nothing wrong with the Russian supporters? fighting with the English supporters and hoped they would continue to fight and beat them up

Disgusting isn't it. But I think if any Russian speaks out against his own country, you can imagine they will get into a lot of trouble.

Russia has been fined £150k for the violence they caused and a suspended disqualification meaning anymore violence then they will Dismissed.

That suspended disqualification only applies to trouble inside the ground.what about outside in the streets and in the fanzones. Another example of uefa bottling it again and not standing up to the Russian ultras.Wednesday night/Thursday when all the Wales and England fans will be around is my worry because the Russian ultras and local french ultras will bound to have another pop at our fans what then they still won't get banned.the french police clearly don't know what to do and certainly have a lot to answer to over the policing tactics in this tournament.

UEFA can only deal with matters inside the stadium perimeters. If they did ban them from the competition due to outside the stadium trouble then Russia will have a field day in the courts.

There is a clearer view of who is causing trouble inside the stadium. So it will be easier to determine who are the instigators of trouble and UEFA can make their decision on what they can see.

Of course, which is why UEFA has told Russia, anymore trouble inside the stadium, you will be banned.

Rocky was saying what about outside the stadium and suggested that UEFA have bottled it about that. I just replied anything outside the stadium, UEFA cant get involved. Its a French issue. Organisation of their police have been poor and should have been dealt with better. After the 1st night, they should have got their army on the streets for example or their police have a better presence offering better protection but instead the French police made it far worse and made it easier for the Russian thugs to do what they wanted. Remember, no Russians have been arrested yet. Says a lot. Thats not UEFA's fault though. The French organisation has been poor. Why was there no police within the stadium on match day giving better and stronger segregation? How was the flare gun and fireworks allowed in the stadium?

Tomorrow and Thursday will be interesting given that most England fans will be staying in the same place as the Russians!! Surely the French police has learned from their mistakes and will be better organised for this?
