Grealish had 3 goals and 3 assists all season. Theres no way he should be starting over the likes of Foden. Id even play Anthony Gordon over him if i had my way.
Hes one of the most over rated players in the Premiership.

Won't be an issue now - he's been omitted

You make some good points - my main reason for putting him in (and Eze for that matter) is that he's a bit of a maverick... and we tend to be quite predictable at tournaments - which enables a good opposition coach to nullify us in the latter stages ...

When Saka offers absolutely nothing for an hour against the first decent team we play he’ll be perfect to bring something different to the team while someone competent plays on the right.

I agree with you (for once <laugh>) - Saka is a very talented player ... but going back to my playing days (levels), if I was a defender I'd much rather be facing a Saka than an Eze ...

It’s not either/or as Eze won’t play on that side but it gives us a chance to chuck Foden or Palmer out there rather than shoehorning them onto the left side.

Again agree - if we try to accommodate 'the names' ti have them on the pitch rather than where they play best, we'll be just as **** as we were when endlessly trying to do that with Gerrard and Lampard ...

Gomez only gets picked because of his versatility, but we already have more than enough of that in the squad.
Theres no way he should be staying, whilst Braithwaite gets sent home.

Also thought I read that Dunk is carrying an injury ... plain daft to be keeping players that aren't fully fit at this stage ... Rooney, Beckham, Owen - haven't we learned anything? <doh>

Would rather have kept Branthwaite and left Dunk. Big fan of Dunk at Brighton but what I've watched of him at international level hasn't got me convinced.

Agreed. Thought Branthwaite had half a chance of starting but guess he rates Guehi higher which is fair enough and for the squad players he has to consider who’s going to be good in the group which maybe Dunk is. Still don’t rate the bloke.

Wouldn't have mattered ... Rashford couldn't beat him for pace (few can) and after 2 or 3 attempts gave up trying ... Walker isn't in the team for his long range passing and distribution skills... <laugh>
so because you think Trippier will get rinsed for pace you would move Walker there and instead play TAA there who has made it clear he doesn't want to play RB and shows little interest in defending when put there.:emoticon-0112-wonde
