Downing and Milner make it crap. :p

It does seem an odd night to reintroduce Downing to the squad and he hasn't impressed so far (although I do think he deserves to be in the squad). I think Milner and Wilshere are a more solid pair than Henderson and Wilshere.

Apparently Chambers is warming up "vigorously". Hodgson wouldn't be stupid enough to put Chambers on at right back against Anya would he?

I would say they're all playing pretty well, except Downing who looks poor.

I am going to put my head above the parapet and suggest Wishere (should he somehow avoid injury) could very well grow into a very good ball-playing DM.

Glad the ref isn't a continental style one...it's not a dirty match, but some refs would be blowing the whistle all the time. I think the players are so up for it that there may be the risk of overstretching injuries...so be careful, Nat.

After watching that 1st half, I can honestly say that I do miss the Home Championships. The edge that Home international games have helps keep the players pride in playing for their country. I will take no argument that England are playing with a zip normally unseen in internationals played against other countries outside of the Great British 4.

Scotland have that edge too. All they lack, on that showing, is a little bit of quality.
