So as it's Scotland v England tonight, I thought I'd provide a little reminder of what happened last time the two sides played:

I watched that moment many times. Thoroughly enjoyed that game & I woke the kids up with my yelping when SRL nodded in with his first touch.

Can't see tonight's game having anything like the same sort of excitement for me :(

On Sky, 57% of voters think that Scotland will win. Think there are a mixture of reasons for this: 1) Scotland have a better team under Strachan 2) every Scotsman/woman worth their salt has voted, and 3) England fans are disillusioned and may have not voted or actually voted for Scotland as protection against pain.

P.s. just mentioned how the best player on Saturday was Clyne and how important he will be :).

P.p.s. England should win, but need to start brightly and not join in at 40 mins.

I think we will lose tonight, I think the crowd will be well up for it, and the Scots will just want it more, hope I'm wrong though.

Does feel a bit like an anticlimax tbh.
I can honestly say SRL's goal is my best Saints related moment over the last 10 years.
My scream is still echoing around Dorset.

This was obvious to everyone who wasn't a fully paid up pundit.

I think it's about time the Home Championship was brought back. The reasons for it disappearing have largely gone, and the interest in fixtures between England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales is always slightly more than average, even when the fixture is a mere 'friendly'.

On the plus side, a Home Championship might help revive the interest in the England national side from the fans perspective. We're definitely into a don't-really-give-a-toss era, at the moment.

We all know what a good manager Strachen is (my 3rd fav Saints manager) and he will have his team well up for the game. You just feel that the Jocks have more pride and passion playing for thier country which is worth a goal, but England should prevail 3-1. I do feel the Henderson and Wilshere combo will get the **** knocked out of them

ENGLAND: Forster; Clyne, Smalling, Cahill, Shaw; Milner, Wilshere; Chamberlain, Rooney, Downing; Welbeck.

Good line up, glad Henderson's been dropped. Despite his previous poor form with England Downing deserves another shot after his excellent showing with West Ham this season, and Milner and Oxo ought to provide a bit of muscle in midfield. Clyne can hopefully drop hints to Luke about how good our defence has been this year!

Nice to see Fraser and Clyney start, something to keep the interest going while they are on. Thankfully, the Liverpool trio from Saturday have been left out of the starting line-up. Never thought I would be pleased to see Milner in but at least he can do the basics well enough (like pass to a team mate).

Still think we're gonna get a doin' though.

Scotland are looking better than they have for years, but England should be (or ought to be) stronger. Although they would be thrilled with a win, I don't think a win for Scotland will mean they will beat us in a competitive match. The main thing is no trouble...we want to see this match becoming more common in the future.

As a separate issue, I am pleased that the increase in team numbers going to Euro 2016 has improved the chances for the other home countries to qualify....be great if they all make it.
