It's all well and good talking about the youth, but we know Baines will get the nod over Shaw and Milner/Lampard will play ahead of Barkley. Sterling/Sturridge will probably be the only young players getting serious game time.
I'll be surprised if Lampard starts alongside Gerrard. Two veterans in midfield, in that heat? No way, Pedro!
Good point, but I don't think Woy would have taken Lamps if he doesn't intend to use him at some point. It's not as if he's going due to form - he's going because he's Frank Lampard
Only going for the Pens in the quarter finals against the Germans Lambert, Gerrard, Lampard, Baines, only 4 players on the plane I'd be confident once they step up
Ashley Cole was always one of the better penalty takers, despite his miss against Italy. Used to take penalties and free kicks all through his youth career and even on loan at Palace. Scored in a few of our shoot outs too. http://www.teamtalk.com/news/2483/9309864/You-ve-picked-them-now-play-them Agree with the title, though think he actually gets his points across poorly, and to not include Sterling in his line up is a no no IMO.
