He was dreadful. The more teams allowed in at the group stages of the finals, the poorer the standard of refereeing will be.
Rewind 2 years and Kane was on corner taking duty at Euro 2016. Not one of Hodgson's most inspired tactical decisions.
Why is everyone calling Tunisia cheats? They are amateurs in that department. Wait until England have to play the master cheats such as Uruguay?
You'll change your mind as long as they dont make a kneejerk decision and abandon it after what is effectively the second trial. and i know you wont see it but they have addressed a lot of my concerns about how it was used that i was highly critical about since the domestic cup. we would have never got to space if we gave up on the first rocket crash
That game reminded me so much of Saints vs Intern Milan. How tense with Inter Milan being such cheats and not getting a red for elbowing Sam McQueen in the face. Justice.
Panama are absolutely world class foulers, so that should be interesting. Tunisia were cynical, but no more than you'd expect. They are also ranked 14 in the world, one place behind England, so god knows why anyone expected that to be easy tonight.
Wonder what he will do if England win the World Cup? Hope he doesn't go one further than what he did after Leicester won the PL!
I cannot like this enough. My wife asked me why they kept cheating. I said cos the ref keeps letting them.
What summed up the referee's performance for me was when we got a free kick near the end. The Tunisia player was refusing to move away and eventually moved but was less than 10 yards away and yet the referee did **** all. It's called "delaying the restart of play" you ******.
If Sterling and Lindgaard were as calm in front of goal, as Kane is, we really would have a chance of going deep into this competition.
I must congratulate the hard work that England have put in on set piece play as the goals came from resulting corners. As the saying goes, you get out of the game what you put in on the training field. Would it be worth playing Rashford instead of Sterling in the next match, as he looks as if he can créate chances in the box?
They will both improve, hopefully. Our defence, given how little defending we had to do tonight, is more of a worry imo.
