Pretty close to what I would have chosen, given injuries and the like. Still wondering how much dirt Lampard has on successive managers, and would love to see Defoe in place of Wellbeck. Smalling will hopefully only be back-up and no injuries will allow him near the pitch. Surprised that Fraser Got the nod in front of Ruddy - even Green surely had a better shout - but I guess it really doesn't matter who the 3rd choice keeper is.
It was Terry, Cole and Lampard who caused all the agro in South Africa. I wouldn't want them anywhere near the team this time around. We're not going to win it (or shouldn't) so blood the younger players who have a future.
I am excited to see this young lot go for it ... Refreshing selection IMO and a lot of players who will want to impress. I have no idea how well they will do but at least this country hasn't killed them off before they go by saying they will win it ... with those saints boys they could go far France will be strong and make the last 4 IMO
... as we will be anyway if he comes up against Chile and plays like he did in November ... in all seriousness, our defence is likely to be found wanting whoever we come up against ... so we just need to score more than the opposition ... simples
