The people that choose the coaches / managers, know nothing at all about football and that's where our trouble starts. We need somebody big enough and powerful enough to expose them and get a new system in operation or we'll always just be nearly men.

Agree fully about Wenger. He mixes classic English football with modern football perfectly. If you could get the technique of his players mixed with the passion that England are known for (but actually lack) then you'd have the Invincibles on an international stage

never a truer word said it needs a complete overhaul from top to bottom but it'll never happen.the last person to challenge them was ol big head and he never got the job.
classic example is this tournament and Uzbekistan the set up has worked on the youth team knowing it'll reap rewards for the full national side in a few years Japan have a great set up as well as do the ivory coast and well we all know about brazil

This. Lack of technical ability is why England won't be winning the World Cup any time soon unfortunately. Look at my country.. Venezuela, we're not the best side in the world but we have our fair share of technical players & our brand of football is good on the eye. <ok>

Or well we are out! Worth a watch though I thought, some good players on show but the stand out was probably that Yesil. Sterling looked good for some parts for England <ok>

i'd rather watch the u17 world cup imo as the copa america i've seen up till now has been dull and a bit boring saying that euro sport have repeated the u17 matches at about 10.30 am the next day
