Ha, that's a good point actually, I tried an impromptu commentary myself like, but as I'd had several Mahou's that was a big fail... He does come out with the odd good line Lawro mind, amongst the tedium!
the commentry on bbc and itv is total tosh. they need some young blood instaed of these hapless idiots. lawro is the worst of these in all honesty and i would rather watch the game with the sound muted then listen to that twat
They say god loves a trier marra! Some twat asked me to play 3 ****ing lions after the game as well, that request was not-so-politely declined I agree, it bothers me that they don't seem to have any real passion or knowledge of the game, there's been a few examples of them totally getting facts and stats wrong about players, which is pathetic. I like Sky's team, they get it right every time, even though Alan Smith isn't the liveliest, he's always got a point of view, and gets it across.
jonathen pearce is a prime example of this also. the bbc commentry has been the same for years and it alwys semms the same clowns who are doing the commentry. they need to liven it up with some new guys, get rid of pearce, mary poppins, garth crooks and linaker and bring in a bit more technology like sky do
I like Lineker mind, but the rest can **** off, maybe keep Hansen. I'd love to see Micky Gray on there, funny as **** he is, he had a BBC column, which was a hoot. Savage is class on ESPN, these are the kinda lads we should see, BBC will always play it dull though.
Was it Guy Mowbray last night? He was really good when he was on Metro radio with Gilly & Gatesey. He's become ****e since he went to the Beeb though.
do you remember that lass they got commentationg on motd? she was ****ing terrible as well. pearce should **** off back to robot wars as well
Billy your obsession with genitalia disturbs me, if I was a neutral I would have enjoyed the spectacle, as an England supporter we were poor, how many other Swedes were unmarked when Melberg scored, I counted 4. I just cannot and will not get excited until we are in the next round.
Pearce used to be great when he was on Channel 5 and done the Voice commentary for Sensible World of Soccer on the Amiga, he was very excitable and like the South American commentators that shout "GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL" for 2 minutes. Since he has went to the BBC he has went completely the other way, dour and just not very good to listen too.
