Milner is a better defensive midfielder than Johnson.
Thats why he's there, he does the defending part of being a midfielder better than any other player we have in the squad.
His attacking is very average, but when he gets the ball in early its usually a decent one.

If England lose to Ukraine they don't deserve to be at the tournament. And after the bad World Cup, 2 years ago, public support might go down.

Ukraine without Sheva are utter ****e.

So far England have played poorly but got the job done. I'd take that in every game, but you can't always ride your luck.

I'd be happy with Croatia in the 1/4 finals, if we get through.

He put one good ball in and that was it. Why not play him at right-back and Johnson in midfield if he has to be in the team? Think he will be dropped anyway

What confuses me, is why take 2 defensive midfielders (Gerrard and Parker) and also take Milner who's defensive. I suppose Gerrard is more of an all round player, good defensively and in attack - That pass to Carroll and the Cross to Lescott were Beckham-esque.
    I would rather have Johnson.
I also hope Adam Johnson goes to Liverpool and has regular football, as being at Liverpool allows you to have England priorities lately. *cough* Henderson and Downing *cough*

Theo is fit for tomorrow according to SSN, it was on there early evening surprised some of you haven't picked up on it. Gung go tomorrow for me big win to boost confidence and hopefully draw Italy next, can see Sweden giving France a game now there's no pressure to get any sort of result.

But it's like playing a relegated side I guess. They haven't got anything to lose therefore will try to recover some pride and go for it. An upset can be on the cards for the frog-suckers.
