TV coverage shows Mount and Chilwell hugging Gilmore on the pitch after the game. There's also lots of coverage showing Gilmore cuddling his colleagues as well as Clarke. Apparently Robbo posted and then deleted an incriminating video clip of them playing table tennis on the evening.

To be honest losing mount is probably a blessing in disguise. Out of all yhe attack minded midfielders we have he's certainly the most defensive if that makes sense?
He came in for unwarranted stick for being fat franks golden boy. Opinions have now turned the opposite way and he's far too overrated by most now. Foden and grealish much much much better options in his position and if we insist on effectively playing 6 defenders with the two defensive midfielders dropping so deep then at least we can have an attack minded player linking the play with the front three. Mount spent most of the scotland game occupying the space luke shaw wanted to get into as he looked for that little clipped ball from deep. He seems impervious to any criticism though because of his previously unfair criticism in the past.

It really is a joke, clearly, all the Scotland players have been in close proximity of Gilmour, Clark was seen hugging him, so why are Chilwell and Mount being singled out?

    No.

I highly doubt that they hanged anybody or any animal. It is just an urban myth.

What is a close contact? this is from the .gov.uk website which would suggest all players of both teams should isolate.

    • anyone who has had any of the following types of contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19:
      • face-to-face contact including being coughed on or having a face-to-face conversation within one metre
      • been within one metre for one minute or longer without face-to-face contact
      • been within 2 metres of someone for more than 15 minutes (either as a one-off contact, or added up together over one day)
A person may also be a close contact if they have travelled in the same vehicle or plane as a case.

Doesn't this count? I can't believe that all the Scotland players didn't hug each other in the changing room after the game.

Can't be a coincidence that they're all Chelsea lads. Maybe they snuck off for a night out somewhere? Security team fired? Have we been told everything?

I think you're reading too much into it, it was only announced after this photo at the end of the game was widely circulated yesterday...

It's illogical! And makes a complete mockery of rules. If our 2 players are made to isolate then so too should the whole Scottish team!! Joke.

It did just occur to me that Clark has probably been vaccinated, does that make a difference as far the government guidelines go?

apparently its because they broke bubble protocol , were caught on camera talking inside the tunnel for 22 mins, and that goes against the law .

It's all very hit and miss, if you are off camera, it's out of sight out of mind. If you're caught on camera you are held to account.

Hang on ... if a member of your family or bubble goes down with covid you're required to isolate are you not ? So if this is the case the question remains why are 2 of our lads isolating having had a chat for 20 mins while the entire Scottish squad who have been living in each others pockets dont ?

It's all utter bollox isnt it!! As If covid cares or works to such stupid rules. A Scottish player has Covid. He's been in prolonged proximity of his team mates and manager, including hugging etc. There's the same or likely more risk of transmission than the risk of transmission to Mount and Chilwell ....but only those 2 are made to isolate whilst the rest of the Scottish squad and staff just carry on mixing. It's bollox. Or did UEFA make some sort of pact with the Chinese scientists who designed this virus so that covid obeys different rules for footballers?.
