Billy Gilmour has tested positive for COVID-19 and is isolating for 10 days, just a few days after playing against England.
In the age of sail, warships employed young boys to transport gunpowder around the ship as they were small and nimble. They were referred to as a "Powder Monkey". So when the Hartlepool locals tell their quaint story of hanging a monkey, they were in fact murdering a young French boy.
I think they just tell that story due to the abuse they got when people thought they'd killed a monkey.
So they feel they will get more abuse for killing a monkey than for killing a small boy. Are they vegans?
It's not a FACT in capital letters, no. But on balance of probability, yes. Young boys were indeed employed on warships and they were called Powder Monkeys. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Powder_monkey For the offender to be an actual monkey in a French uniform you have to consider what sort of monkey it would be. It would have to be smaller than a chimpanzee as you wouldn't want something on board that could bite through bone or pull your arms off so a little primate like a capuchin would be more likely. Now let's say the Hartlepoolians (sic) confused this little monkey for a French spy, could you even hang it? You'd have to tie it's hands and it's feet. Maybe you'd have to secure it's tail, even then, do they weigh enough to hang? You could throttle it to death but then people from Hartlepool would be known as "The Capuchin Stranglers" and that just doesn't sound right. So, most likely, it was a young Frenchman. Fact.
Lol. Mount and Chilwell need to self isolate after coming into close proximity. Grealish and Tripper it is.
I'm confused by this. The BBC article says it's because they were talking to Gilmour afterwards. What about other Scottish players then having to isolate? Presumably 10 days, so out of the next round?
Based on Southgate’s comments just now, it doesn’t sound like he’s given up on them being available to play tomorrow.
Just finished watching Denmark v Russia and it just emphasises how ****ing cack England were against Scotland. The Danes lost their one of their star players in awful circumstances and they played against Belgium and Russia without fear and with passion.
