Agreed. Having speedy men on the wings doesn't win games necessarily. They get to the bi-line, make a cross, no-ones there. The surprise element is speed up front in the centre. A good winger can cross the ball from anywhere - to a speedy striker who's in the penalty box.

Steady on. There's a round before that to scrape through/ lose on pens this time.

I never heard a thing from them after half time. Mind you, that could be because I'd turned over to watch Peaky Blinders.

    slightly off topic this.........

    O / T

Live coverage of Slovakia v Northern Ireland on sky channel 972 //// Oliver Norwood starts for N.I.

Live coverage of France v Scotland on Premier Sports channel // Robbo and Snodgrass start for Scotland by all accounts.

any speedway fans can watch Live speedway on sky sports channel 411 eurosport.

    Enjoy.

We do have a few on here who used to go to speedway. <laugh>

I am flicking between the speedway and the N.I. game which lacks quality but some tasty tackles going in by Slovakia.

BT sports subscribers used to be able to get it. Not sure now.

Giroud put France 1-0 up after 8 mins. Maloney also involved.

Watching through KODI, Scotland 3-0 down not a good watch for Scotia position, Robertson partly at fault for their first goal.

3 - 0 France now. Giroud 35mins with the 2nd and Koscielny 39 mins with the 3rd goal.

Arsenal fans will be happy. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Robbo probably still on a high from last week John. It matters little though.

He has to learn not to commit to a challenge unless he is sure of getting the ball.

I honestly used to love going to the Speedway. First when Tony Childs was the captain through to when it closed at the Boulevard. The highlight being when Ivan Mauger won his sixth world title and Kelly Moran god bless him finished third. Great night for Hull Vikings. Must admit to having some nights with Kelly and Denis Sigalos Kelly was bloody crazy RIP. He did marry a Hull lass. Just got his book to read. Sorry for going on a bit.

Northern Ireland are going to get smashed at this tournament. Bless 'em. Norwood looked decent though. The lad Hrosovsky looks pretty handy as well, commentators impressed with him.

Yeah I enjoyed watching Hull Vikings, I think young Joey Owen was my favourite rider, he was ****ing fearless, unfortunately I think it caught up with him and he ended up in a wheelchair.

Yep his brother Tom rode for us but was a little more cautious than Joe. Reg Wilson was one of my hero's till he went back to Sheffield. He became one of the most hated. Great times though.

Yeah Reg was a great rider, he was also the double of his good friend Freddie Starr, and I remember being there one night when Freddie came out in full SS uniform goose stepping around the Boulevard pitch, he had the supporters in stitches.
