As a complete neutral, I am enjoying the game. It is very open. As a QPR fan, proud to see Townsend playing so well. He is on fire.
its the best I've seen England play for years, it would be 4 or 5 if we didn't have to play wellbeck and Sturridge who are missing chance after chance.
Yes indeed, he's playing some amazing football - for a while there before Rooney stepped up with his goal from Baines, it almost seemed like it was a one man show of Andros Townsend vs Poland. Wellbeck & Sturridge are very disappointing. Seems like they either trip over their feet or hesitate taking a shot when available to them. England definitely needs another goal here. On another bright note, with our Richard Dunne playing, the Republic of Ireland are 2-1 up against Kazakhstan.
I'm glad that I'm not alone in not rating Wellbeck. I've never seen anything of him that suggests that he's an international forward. I have no particular truck with Sturridge, though, but I completely agree with those that believe Defoe should get a run out. Come on England, it's only Middlesbrough!
England have been bad for a long time. the only trouble is we are one unlucky bounce or bad decision from going out. we need that second goal and wed have had it may times over if he was on for one of the donkeys. hopefully me slagging them off all night will mean one of them scores.
I have an eye on both matches. I have barely heard Dunne mentioned. The Ireland match is like watching paint dry compared to the England match. It's being played in a half empty Aviva stadium.
