****ing brilliant moment that. Anyone who says England players don't care should watch that celebration.

I couldn't disagree more. I've counted 5 occasions tonight when Baines has passed out from defence straight to a Pole and put us in a difficult position. Defensively, he was terrible tonight and that's why he's in the team.

He was worse defensively tonight than I have ever seen from Cole. Ever.

    That was open as ****.

    Thoroughly enjoyable.

That's why football is streets ahead of every other sport.

Thought Rooney was excellent tonight, it took us too long to get the second, but it was a decent game to watch and we definitely deserved the win.

They actually had me out of my seat celebrating for both goals tonight and I'm never usually like that with England. Can't remember enjoying a TV game like that in ages.

Unfortunately I have to agree with you on that but great win for us and a relief to be at the finals, always crap if we don't make it but am guessing a lot of the kids on this forum have never known that and probably were wondering who Terry Butcher was too. Realistically though we are very lucky Lewandowski was not on song tonight, I can't believe he didn't take any of his chances. I'm pleased Roy is looking to rotate the likes of Lampard and Gerrard too because there is no way these two guys will play all the World Cup matches to their full ability in Brazils humidity after a hard season even if this harsh fact makes the kiddywinkles on here cry.We made it though and thats what counts!

Just got back from the pub.

Bloody enjoyable match that, though it was stressful too.

Townsend had another great game, Baines was great too, Rooney deservedly MOTM.

Gerrard's celebration proved that some players do still care about the national side. He IS England.

Never saw it, too busy celebrating the goal ourselves.

The way we've gone about the last two games has been refreshing. It has been really enjoyable to watch for a change. We've looked more adventurous and it paid off, partly because Townsend was magnificent. The two main problems were that Sturridge and Welbeck drifted in and out of the game and that some of our short passing and one touch stuff was easily picked up by the Polish defence. Oh and getting caught on the break too often. Still, more positives than negatives.

Brilliant game to watch. Last 20 minutes of first half was best attacking football I've ever seen England play. Andros Townsend is unreal. What a great choice by Roy. Play like that in Brazil and we're in with a great chance. Rooney, Sturridge, and Welbeck outstanding too. Need to be stronger in MF though. Carrick was poor. Overall though...well done England!!

The re-emergence of Sturridge as a regular England player means that Rooney can play slightly deeper (his best position) and have more impact.

Liverpool's gamble of buying Sturridge from Chelsea and his regular club starts has also benefitted England.

I mentioned this a few weeks ago, English players sat on the bench/in the stands at the top clubs is not good for the national team.

Azerbaijan scored a last minute equaliser with 10 men to draw with Russia. Also, preventing me from winning £120.

I bet Scotland ****ed up a lot of bets tonight as well. Same with Wales.

Luckily the only bet I did tonight was a fiver on Rooney to score first... <party>

My last 3/4 bets have been down to one team letting me down. I could be £500 richer!
