I love the whole "Townsend is amazing" hype going around. 2 games does not a good player make. Especially when he failed at Leeds, Watford, Birmingham, Millwall and Ipswich. He's looking like the player he should be, but lets not get carried away now.

Me too, I was thinking about moaning about him and then thought "Mind you he'll score at some point." Bullshit. Just cos they're black. Sturridge is way more measured and accurate whereas Welbeck just gets in defender's faces and is a bloody nuisance but more clumsy with his body. It's like Fryatt and McLean except miles better. Your rubbishing of Welbeck is wrong just like with Danny Graham; it's like you need to have a player to hate in your team and don't even wait for anyone to do anything wrong to qualify. Baines and Townsend have been excellent. There isn't much space in and around the Poland area but we're coping well with it. City wouldn't score all night in a game like this. We've got more goals in us. Something will fall more favourably for Rooney/Sturridge/Welbeck eventually.
