Pope has looked good and two pretty unplayable balls. Buttler may as well start to hit out soon, with this pitch you've got a ball with your name on it.

If I'd said 275 it's otherwise right. 86-1 and the commentators actually said England were marginal favorite, then we'll have to see if we get beyond 180

Your general point was spot on and I thought so at the time.

But I also think my gut feeling if they can get to 150 without losing anymore wickets then they whittle the runs down and win it.

Tea saved Pakistan a bit there, another thirty minutes of that could have been the match for England. Abbas and a tighter game after tea with make it much more is a marathon for us.

No genuinely... although the runs have dried up since I posted. Fck me if they can't make 50 with 5 wickets remaining they need shooting. Ok... I'll shut up now.

I was going to post a couple of days ago that was Buttler ruling himself out for MOTM. That would've been a better jinx by looks of it.

England could **** it with 10 runs to get with 5 wickets in hand. It's the nature of the beast.

They’ve grinded it out again so fair play to them. Pakistan must be kicking themselves after that. We’ll see what they’re made of now because most teams would fold to us for the rest of the series after losing the first test like that.

That there is what Test cricket is all about. Great game. Hope the next two are as entertaining as that. I'd like Pakistan to win the next one and then have the decider.

I wonder what the odds were on an England win at 117 for 5.

I’m not really a cricket man, but I watched the last half hour of that and enjoyed it.

No idea on the odds btw.

It ended up being more like a one dayer today tbf. But over the 4 days the game has swung back and forth. I enjoy the bowling more than the batting unless there's a chase on at the end, then it's who dares wins.

The only thing that could've made that more enjoyable is if those last 2 wickets had fallen earlier.

I wasn’t confident that Pakistan had it in the bag

    it took what it needed

    one partnership

    England done the job
