We don't need to get over anything ... we know our lad consistently turns up when it really matters ... and he certainly wouldn't let a sore arm stop him
...no but you are very often an honorary Spud on here ... and no I'm not on about Salah ... Vardy played the whole of our title winning season with his arm in a cast ...but thanks for jumping into the net so readily
Don’t know what you mean by Foxes plural. Only me and Fosse have posted and I’ve said Kane is right number 1 as we play only 1 up top But this ‘impact sub’ thing is bollocks. Kane is number 1 so there’s no place for Vardy, I.e I’d rather he stay at home and be ready for the new season. It is known that he plays well in a counter attacking or defensive system so how would he be a good impact sub if we are losing and need a goal? I’d hope we’d be going all out attack not counter attacking if we need a goal. He may be a good outlet if we are defending a lead late on I guess but I can’t see Southgate putting him on in that situation anyway. As you say for the amount of minutes he’ll get it’s a waste of time taking him and annoying as a leicester fan. Same for Maguire
No mate ... that's just a stupid comment because Vardy has always delivered when it matters and Harry hasn't ... yet. What makes you an honorary spud is the history on here that has earned you the nickname "Skyrimmer" ... rather predictably, you can be depended upon to attempt to spin any of Quentin's nonesense and support everything Spurly posts (absent if they are digging at Liverpool).... now that's what has made you an honorary Spud ... and I'm at work buddy .. wish I could stay in bed ... not in yours mind ... bit crowded in there with Quents and Spurly
I wouldn't say Kane was a 'million times better' than Vardy. He's definitely more versatile though, and a lot better suited to the way England under Southgate seem to want to set up. That said, Leicester with Kane instead of Vardy might not have won the league in 2016 because their style of play suited a player like Vardy perfectly. Horses for courses as they say.
Apologies, I was generally speaking about negativity and club allegiances. Only the Vardy bit was in relation to your comment.
That's where we differ. I'm very glad TAA is going. It's not all about game time, he'll gain some valuable experience going to a major tournament.
Spot on. He gets through an incredible amount of work in a game, is often involved in link up play, has good vision and is capable of delivering intelligent and accurate passes.
I reckon he’ll start over Trippy. Better player IMO. I’d like Maguire to start too but don’t think he will.
Quite a rarity for Liverpool to actually produce a player of their own. Makes you wonder how Saints' academy missed him. Anyway, he'll gain valuable experience of waiting for Henderson to get injured.
Anyway as I said over the weekend after the Nigeria game, that's why I would have had Vardy behind Kane. His pace covers more grass, he can drop deeper, collect and run with his blistering pace.
