England on that performance should get out of the group imo. Very unlucky not to get something tonight. One of the best performance I've seen from an England team for a while, fair play. But what is it with Rooney and big tournaments?
James Milner not playing was criminal . england never seem to have a system. just loads of good players some better than others and some with no technique.. johnson... they need to look more like a team that is my opinion.very exciting to watch going forward, roy needs to get more out of this team

Roony did OK, on left, right, centre and that's his problem. He plays where he's told which is usually out of position. But where was England's most over rated player last night?...that's the prancing pony Gerrard by the way. England might as well have played with ten men as Gerard, the captain (now that's a laugh) aimlessly loped around the pitch pausing only to bend double to suck in air after his telegraphed diagonal ball right to wing. Gerard was ineffectual as always against top teams but no one will say a thing even though Yesterday he was truly pathetic, as invisible as a fart, anonymous and passive. Carrick would have been an improvement. Did Gerrard make a tackle all game? As usual, Roony will take the brunt of the defeat from the L'pool press but I'd take Roony for England over the wind sucker, Gerrard, any day. Awaiting a flood of chips from the puddle munchers. Next game Sturridge - Centre forward Roony - A.M centre, Barkley - Left and in Sterling - Right in/out ....and my 9 year old niece in for Gerrard, if she can't make it my cat has had kittens so we could play one of them.
