Agreed - usually the way to go, but I guess this is Roy's version of saying "**** it".

As for Lallana, I'm not surprised in the slightest - nor with Barkley. I never saw Roy starting with either.

Should we lose tonight though, pretty much making Uruguay a must-win (depending on how many they put past Costa Rica right now), then I could see Roy bringing one or both in. Similar in some ways to France 98, when Hoddle only brought Beckham and Owen into the starting XI when we found ourselves needing a result on the back of a defeat to Romania.

Yep, it's going to be a great evening for The Saints...Rickie, Luke and Adam will come on in the second half after a dull 0-0...Rickie will find Luke with a perfect pass to the left wing, Luke will beat his man and get to the byline and send over a cross which Adam controls first time before executing a perfect Cruyff turn, leaving the defender for dead before chipping over the advancing Keeper and nestling the ball into the far corner. He then runs over to Luke and they both lift up their shirts to reveal a T-shirt that says "we're staying Saints"!

EDIT: To those wondering, yes I have been drinking....quite a lot!

This has been a great World Cup so far, full of entertaining, attacking football.

Over to you England to stink it right up.

I'd take a dull 0-0 to be honest.

Agree with Roy's selection tonight. Pace is a good weapon to have.

Think it will be. Good defences, weak attacks and both teams will be happy with a draw and neither will go for it too much.
