That was in response to someone claiming we set out to defend. Maybe you should have spent the time to read the posts instead of carrying on your tantrum about Southgate.

I know that, but your post suggested we were the better side, but we lost, so we weren’t.

I didn't type nor claim "we set out to defend".
I said "Southgate continues to appear to be more concerned about stopping the opposition rather than seeing us take our game to them" and that "he should be letting the shackles off more than we are seeing". That's not saying "we set out to defend", it's saying he should be more attack minded, more positive, take a bit more of a gamble, give them a bit more to worry about rather than vice versa. We have the talent but not the bravery in our set up / tactics. Being that bit more positive would likely have seen us through, and quite possibly even have won the WC this time (and the Euros earlier).

The celebration of defeat by some on here is truly pathetic, Southgate is now a serial loser, we got ****ed in the Nations league, which is a completion, even though some gets think otherwise, if you take comfort from crashing out of the World Cup in the way we did, then there is a coward inside of you.
I was ****ing furious at the end of the FA Cup final, I’m still pissed about it, we lost cos Bruce ****ed it up trying to hold on to the 2-0, I didn’t even stay to watch our players get their medals, there’s no glory in defeat, just defeat.

Scrawny: If only there was a winning coach already under contract with the FA, someone who won the Euros twice with different teams.

What has Rosey won as a manager. There are a load of women who have won trophies in the WSL, the equivalent of our PL. Maybe City should have appointed one of them?

Having planned to come down for this weekend's game,I was absolutely fizzing to discover that the striking Network Rail staff had decided to scupper my plans. Not anymore,I'm ecstatic that I won't have to sit and listen to you two putting the world to rights.

As David Essex once sang "Every cloud has a silver lining"...:emoticon-0103-cool:
