Agree about Stones and Alli. Pogba is very good.

I'm not convinced about kane at international level though. His first touch was very poor last night with very little sticking.
Still considering the ridiculous amount of injuries England have, we seem to have some strength in depth for a change.

I thought Alli had a very good game but might have been because the French were too scared to go anywhere near someone with that name?

They weren't mumbling. They were yelling complete franglais for all they were worth...

..and good on them for doing so! :emoticon-0148-yes:

Nick Ferrari on LBC played a recording of the minute's "silence" at the start of the Turkish match last night. The whole ground was a cacophony of whistling, jeering and chants of Allahu Akbar. This, when so many young people have just lost their lives

...and Turkey want to join the EU...

As I said earlier it was a shame the ITV producer decided to drown out the crowd with the choir, completely spoiled what was a very emotional couple of minutes.

I heard the whistling Finglas but wasn't sure where it was coming from.

Couldn't agree more - it's nice to read nothing but positives eh? Loved the impromptu applause when the team photos were taken. In its own way it was as powerful as the silence.

Apparently, it was one single Bosnian fan who decided to shout. The Irish fans booed him for disturbing the minutes silence. I heard other Bosnian fans sorted him out later so there are some decent ones.

I was to their right looking down on them. One, maybe two, of them started shouting.

We stopped them shouting in the 2nd half though! :)

There was a core of BIH fans right behind the goal and they sang for the full game. They also stayed to applaud the Irish players on their lap of honour........decent fans. Reminds me of singing after the match in Poland when we were hammered by the Spanish. :-/
