Agree it was there to see that the weakest link in the French team is in the air at the back .... INGAAA LAND are set up not to concede ...When Rooney is back I guess things may change as you then have a player with teeth that would get into World 11. Maybe the tactics are to hold on until he can change it ... But at the moment there is little expression and craft in the INGALAND ... not that most of the moron's supporting them could see anyway. My little pony was a possible tactic last night but the fear that France would break them playing football so in all accounts the manager bloke made the right call for INGALAND. If this was a knockout game then sorry but the French were far too strong but it wasn't so doesn't matter
Is that right Northie ?? About bloody time too. I always used to hate that bloody band. Cant remember who they supported but used to get right on my nerves whenever i used to follow England about. And they used to think they had a right to do whatever they wanted including p****** me off by playing 'The great escape' for the 27th time'. Good riddence
Been pissing me off for years! http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/jun/11/euro-2012-england-band-france?newsfeed=true
France 1-1 England: France dominate possession but creativity stifled by England sitting deep June 11, 2012 The starting line-ups A match with little invention, played at a very slow pace. Laurent Blanc chose his expected side in a 4-3-3, with Florent Malouda shuttling forward from the midfield. Roy Hodgson’s side contained one surprise name – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who started on the left. James Milner started on the other flank, and Danny Welbeck got the nod over Andy Carroll upfront. As expected, France dominated possession (65%) and had 21 shots compared to England’s 5, but many were from long-range, as Blanc’s side struggled to create clear-cut chances................cont http://www.zonalmarking.net/2012/06...t-creativity-stifled-by-england-sitting-deep/
A day late in watching the highlights. I'd have taken this result before the game, and under Roy we've got a lot more in this style to come. But given that only 3 of our strongest squad would get into the Spanish, German, Dutch, Portuguese or French squads, let alone starting 11s, can't blame him, and he interviews well. Name change as it appears to be a trend and I'm bored ****less with the close season and the stupid transfer speculation and bitching we are reduced to. I'll be SB again come the new season. Just seen on ESPN that the US World Cup qualifying group contains them, Guatemala, Jamaica and Antigua and Barduba(???). FFS.
he could come up with something like the French Tricolor in background and featuring a BIG Cisse + another Frenchman (yet to be signed, Tremoulinas maybe)
The Reggae Boys are too busy partying to win anything, Marlon King was one of two players sent home for breaking a curfew... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ing-Chris-Humphrey-dropped-Jamaica-squad.html
