Hodgson speaks a lot of sense. I think he'll prove to be a good appointment. He's already started structuring and organising us from the back. In time I think he'll pick us up again. However I still don't think you can fairly judge Roy on this tournament.
Been calm because not expecting much...now usual nerves setting in. Have to say that whilst France could beat us, I don't make us the complete underdogs that some seem to think. We haven't suddenly turned into Andorra!
Agree, the preparation has been far from ideal and anything we get out of this tournament is a bonus frankly.
I hope we can pick up the tempo in the second half, if we do so we can win it, as long as we shut them out it will be 2-1 or 3-1.
This has been a very good performance. No glitz and glamour but a solid defensive display on the whole. We look hard to beat.
This is the most important thing when you go to a tournament. Had we played the normal "English" way, we would have lost that game.
Good start! Very solid had some good moments going forward I think when rooney comes back we can be a real force in this tourno. Nice to see an England team with discipline and pride in the shirt.
I think we played better than we normally do, I personally think in our normal style we would have lost so that was good, it was a hard night for Ox, Welbeck and Young as France put so much pressure on them and marked them a lot, they also kept on pushing us off the ball which was ****ing annoying, the ref gave us **** all. Overall good performance, at least we got a draw.
Well, you won't find me complaining about that. Every chance of winning the group from here. I didn't think the ref was that dreadful either but that's just me.
