Kane wasn't great for us, no. But he wasn't great during his loan spells at Orient, Millwall or Norwich either. I'm amazed by the season he had just gone, truly shocked. He did well to score so many goals for a man who has such little ability. He'll do well to ever match that season tally again, especially now everyone has worked him out. It really wouldn't surprise me if he didn't hit double figures this season.
Strikers of the past were queuing up last season to praise Kane's qualities. Some of the goals he scored could not have been scored by a player of "little ability". I recall one goal which had ex-pros comparing it to a famous great goal of Thierry Henri's.
I think it was more to do with ego and not wanting to play for teams on loan but as soon as he gets to play for Spurs he puts the effort in which is disappointing from a character point of view but I think he can finish when given the chance. Says a lot for me that many of the posters on here were saying Vardy should have played (albeit with the normal few who won't say a good word about anything Leicester connected). For me it shows that more wider fans are taking note of him
