I don't either, he looks to be the only player that wants to go forwards rather than do a crab pass. As soon as he went off yesterday we got pinned back.

Your tolerance of West Ham's play makes sense now. His play has been utterly terrible. Barely a pass has reached its target and he's had the control of a brick wall on Sunday so far. And if I've set him up for a match winning performance on Saturday, then it's been worth it.

Calling it as I see it mate - and I back my judgement against anyone's. He hasn't set the world alight yet, but has been a constant threat.

I was actually thinking he's lost a few pounds. Let's face it, he's not got anywhere based on his looks.

All about opinions, I get that. Wish I could see what you do. I'd be able to get rid of the nervous feeling in my gut every time he gets the ball.

If his pass completion rate hasn't been great (I haven't seen any stats), that's because of the areas he is in, and trying to pass into. And if the ball hasn't been sticking to his feet it's because he has been receiving it at pace and under close attention from defenders.

It's not difficult to have an 80% completion rate when passing sideways on the halfway line.

Kyle Walker has been 10x worse, and Alli has done nothing but give the ball away, same with Lingard. In fact most of the England team have been **** so far, we've beaten 2 non-league teams and needed penalties to beat a championship side missing their best player, and as soon as Striling went off we were under the cosh

Yes I was making this point last night. What happens normally is when the opposition play at pace, it suits our players as they feed off that in return and play at pace also. But there are times when that is the worst thing you can do. Last night when we were 1-0 up, the Colombians increased the pace, England fell into the trap of playing their game. It meant they were no longer in control of the game. They should have slowed the game down, kept possession and made the Colombians chase the ball, that would've created the gaps for our players to exploit AND THEN look for opportunities to score. It's the kind of thing you see in Champions League games. Having said that, it showed that we don't have seasoned players which we all know, they're inexperienced.

Sweden's well organised two banks of four will have Sterling in their back pocket and by half-time have their bibs on eating him for breakfast. We need players who can knit passes and be runners.... Loftus' Cheeks and Rashford please.

  15. So long as they can feed the ball to Kane to do the business, I don't care who plays, Trebs.

We've got enough corner takers and divers to do that mate. As well as opposition grapplers in the box. I was thinking about scoring from open play <whistle>

think that may be the case pretty much whoever plays but i would persist with Sterling but play him in his true position out wide rather than as a CF , why was Kane dropping deep whilst Sterling stayed upfront , where he can isolate his direct opponent .Personally think our biggest problem is the lack of "creative" passing from basically everyone in our team.

    Very much agree with this.

What we lack is a Modric or Eriksen. A creative midfielder who can slide rule passes into the gaps and spaces.

Yeh well you should've all thought of that before getting rid of Wazza. He was on the cusp of becoming like Xavi but instead you made him Chavi. Well who's regretting that now :bandit:
