Anyway, I hope we pick a strong team. I don't buy into the finish 2nd to plot an easier way to the final theory

If we are hoping to avoid a Giant yet hoping to win it, then we are dreaming. Plus I don't see many walk overs left in the tournament. Every team that has qualified has shown qualities that will create problems. Football seems to be levelling itself out nowadays and teams like Japan, Sweden and the Swiss bring problems that we will have to solve too. Plus if we can't beat Brazil in the quarter finals...we won't beat them in the final.

On the other hand, winning today might shut up the people saying 'you've only beaten Panama/Tunisia, even though they will use the 'Belgium were under strength' putdown, instead. We need to try to maintain a winning momentum because I think confidence will take us further than plotting routes, Brazil are beatable. When Kane is smelling blood, just let the man go and get his pray, I've seen him with the bit between his teeth and from what I've seen...he's in the mood to add a goal or two tonight.

Maybe try the 2 holding midfielders as a tactic change because it might be something we need in the later rounds...apart from that...full strength for me. Dier in CB would be interesting, he brings a more natural CB game to the pitch, than Walker. Walker can replace Trippier in 2nd half. Rashford for Sterling....maybe? Pickford needs this game so no Keeper swapping. Would like to see Vardy sometime during the game.
