Colombia had a hard game today.
We've rested nearly our entire first team.
I'm very confident that we would beat Colombia.
We would also beat Japan but we wouldn't get past Brazil.
Switzerland or Sweden we have a very good chance of a semi final.

Our best players are on the bench so are Belgium's we are nowhere near the best sides on paper but we can match Colombia and tgen hopefully Sweden/Switzerland.

Overall poor boring game but with basically two reserve teams playing its hard to judge

 

most of the commentators were saying all week that it's best to keep the momentum and play our best team
when Southgate put out a reserve side they hailed him as a genius

I think it’s been alright.

This line-up won’t play again this tournament. However, some of the players who haven’t much in terms of game time, will have been blooded for the tournament, should they be needed.

It’s hard whichever route we end up taking and Columbia will be very tough.

 

Belgium made more changes than us, yet they are still miles superior in every department. Why we insist on trying to get to the goal line to cross every single time frustrates the life out of me. Diagonal balls in are just as effective.

 

Fellaini needs a proper knee cruncher.

Players to come out with credit tonight IMO, Loftus-Cheek, Maguire & Rashford at a push.
Players who were just useless IMO, Alexander-Arnold & Pickford was exactly what I thought he was, avaerage at best, but a £30 million transfer to a mid table team from a **** relegated team gets you the number 1 shirt. Both of Burnley's keepers are miles ahead of him.
The rest were just average at best.

 

Colombia didn't look anything special , if we can't beat them we don't deserve to progress anyway
