I'm not saying our defence is bad - far from it, it's just the injuries have taken their toll for us.

If fully fit and ready to play, our strongest back-line is probably the best in Europe, I would have to concede.

 

Capdevila's ****e. He's well past it. Puyol's out of the tournament. So Spain's weak link is their defence by a mile.

 

Yeah hopefully Cahill and Terry won't be injured :/.

 

Alba is class, i'd take Pique over any of our defenders anyday.

 

Ah didn't realise Puyol was out. Jordi Alba ain't half bad though - he's being bought by Barcelona.

 

This game was better than the Norway game. We defended solidly and Belgium's star studded team looked pretty impotent. Good finish from Wellbeck and Chamberlain looked encouraging.

 

I do rate Jordi Alba, and he will get better as he's only 23 or something. I just wonder who's going to play alongside Pique at CB. Albiol is average, Marchena's past it.

Was going to say the same, he can play defence or defence mid. They could also put Ramos in the centre and play JuanFran or Arbeloa.

 

Cole has been ripped a hell of alot this season aswell. Doesn't make him a bad player.

 

Spanish league is a less physical and more technical league so he will be fine playing for Barca in La Liga.

 

He isn't as good as Cole.

 

International football isn't exactly like slumming it with League One cloggers now, is it?

 

They'll outscore most teams anyway, especially with Torres finding form.
