very true. just remembered SAF saying that Rooney was out with a soar throat or something. my mistake. did not know Walcott was out though but glad he is.
They may both play just 45 minutes to get a bit of match time in, with Stewart and Brady potentially playing tonight, I imagine Garcia and Simpson have to be under consideration for Friday.
Its a nothing game so try others out. Thats what the fans want to see. The result means nothing at all. The FA have a simple choice of Harry or Harry. If Harry says no then the job will be Stu Pearces anyway as there is nobody else. So taking risks and experimenting shows good sense to me and balls. I also applaud the choice of Parker as capt. for tonights game.
Walcott's still in, it's just Rooney who's out. I was listening to 5Live this morning and Roddy Forsyth mentioned that Matt Phillips was in tonight's expected starting XI, I thought he withdrew with a hamstring injury?
So did I - I thought it was a torn hamstring so was out for a while, although I couldn't find anything on the new and improved BBC Sport website (although that's not surprising)
Cameron Stewart ‏ @Cameron7Stewart Not in tonyts squad for the under 21's against Belguim. Full support with the boys. But time for me to concentrate on Bpool friday night.
I thought Cairney had been withdrawn from the Scotland squad due to a groin injury, but he's just been announced in their starting XI for their game(5.30pm kick-off).
England team tonight --------------------Hart Richards--Smalling---Cahill---Baines; --------------Parker---Barry A.johnson-------Gerrard---------Young ------------------Welbeck Parker captain. It's a bit odd but we'll, personally barry is not good enough, swap barry for carrick or a second striker, I'd like to see strurridge/welbeck up front.
Well, all but Sturridge, has stuart pearce been reading my posts. Should give me the England job. I wouldn't of gone for Welbeck over Sturridge.
Stewart and Brady were not involved at all. Cairney got 68 mins for Scotland U21's and Corey Evans played the first half for Northern Ireland and was replaced by Peterboro's Grant McCann. All in all very good news for Hull City.
