    Feel sorry for Trent.
I don't think he's a midfielder, the problem is Southgate.
We are so lethargic and how we press is junior football.

Saka and Foden seem to be going for it.
Kane is too deep and hasn’t got the pace to rush forward.
    Shocking.

    Ditto.

    Denmark looked organised and motivated.
    We looked the absolute opposite.

    Southgate !

Agreed, not a fan of Foden for England generally, but today I thought he was at least trying to make things happen.

….. and so Southgate takes him off.
    I dispair - I really do.

Well I think the neighbourhood would be enhanced by some large ferocious cats but Southgates got the boys playing like pussies. Talking about pussies what the bloody hell has happened to Alexander Arnold?? Geoff Thomas and Carlton Palmer looked more at home as international midfielders.

I have said before that it's almost like watching Bristol City because you expect better but it rarely shows up on cue. For years England have looked lost at international level and I sometimes question as to why they bother because they don't even look close to being a competitor against other teams that actually look like they want to win for their country - but we never do. Southgate has been dragging this team down for several years now but clearly he meets the criteria from the suits and prawn cocktail crowd. Apparently England has the least number of players who were on the squad compared to the last tournament and Denmark has the most which beggars the question as to whether or not Southgate is up to the task, and in my books he has never been my choice. Surely with the over-abundance of top class players at his disposal he should, and could, do better both with his squad selection and style of play because what has been dished up for several years up until these Euros is utterly boring and predictable, both to the viewers and opponents alike. The chance of moving on is still alive, although on life support, and if indeed we progress further then I know there are teams out there just licking their lips at the chance of showing us how utterly useless we really are.

A problem is look at what TAA is hitting with Liverpool's 4-3-3 with his long passing, now compare it to England. What was is it that Gareth Southgate was trying to achieve with TAA in midfield?

I'm not sure Southgate knows, let alone me.
I also don't know Southgate's game plan, they show no organisation, in fact they look totally disjointed which is bloody criminal withe the ability Southgate has at his disposal.
Seems their only mantra is defensive, safety first and lack of ambition.
I know Kane comes back but after our goal he played like another midfielder so when we broke up the Denmark attack there was literally no out ball.

    We play like Southgate's personality.

Foden probably got subbed because he broke ranks and attacked.

On a positive note we have 4 points after 2 games, we should get through to the knockout stages, so we have time to sort things out. That said we’ve been poor over the first two games tactically, we need to improve drastically if we’re to have any chance and I’ll be honest I can’t see it. Let’s hope I’m wrong.

We were reasonable up until we scored, then whatever tactics was instigated/or not, were junior school at best..
Southgate throughout his reign has been a very lucky manager with the players at his disposal and the easier routes in competitions.
